1st January 2007 Windsurfing: Brogborough Wind Direction: w Wind Stength: 10- 30 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 6c Sea Temperature: cold Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: Rigged up with a 5.8 and 112 lt board just got my feet wet and the wind dropped! Managed a couple of runs pumping like mad to get on the plane. Next it was change up to a 7m just enough to get going but still not properly going so it was up the the big board to get planning properly(complete with 50 cm fin) The wind was a bit up and down but stuck it out the the big board and 7m sail I had a really scary moment nearly stacking it big time I was on a crazy down wind run when I just got picked up nearly going over the front at full speed. I got a few more runs before the wind dropped off a bit more so decided to call it aday and retired to the snug in front of the open fire in the clubhouse, inland sailing has it plus points! |
